Pug Hugs, Face Masks and Smokey Eye Make Up | ReeTheBeautyBee

Hello everybody!

Happy weekend!!
It's my favourite time of the week- the weekend!
Today I've been chilling at home with my little pooch, who thought he would jump on my head this morning...

Who needs lay ins anyway?!

I've been trying to eat better and exercise more and I've got to say- I'm feeling so good by taking better care of myself.
For breakfast this morning I had natural yoghurt with honey, a banana and porridge.
This kept me full right up until lunch time.

George and I have been for a wonderful country walk, I loved watching him run around the fields and through the daisies in the sunshine, it was the definition of Spring and gave me such a warm and fuzzy feeling inside!

Once home, it was lunch time!
I had vegetable soup with a piece of brown bread- no more white bread!
I also had a mint green tea, which I'm loving at the moment! I think it's my favourite green tea flavour.

Then, time for a face mask!
I chose Lush's "Face of Magnaminty" and it leaves my skin feeling so fresh and soft.

Now that my face is feeling nice and fresh, it's time to moisturise!
I always use my holy grail which I mention in previous posts- Aveeno! I haven't found a better moisturiser for my skin yet, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to share!

Today I decided to do a smokey eye using LaRoc cosmetics, which I believe are cruelty free, which is always a bonus.
I'm seeing lots of blogs and YouTube videos about which cosmetics are cruelty free and I'm trying to reach for these more, as I'm an animal lover.

Here's the finished look..

So, it's just a soft smokey eye using golden tones, with beiges and browns.
LaRoc cosmetics are actually amazing value for money.
The colours are highly pigmented, easy to apply, blend and long wearing.

I really like the colours in this smokey eye, as they are subtle enough for the day time and looks fab for the evening as well.

I know my makeup will stay in place all day and evening which is great to know because I'm out tonight to watch a good friend of mine perform at a Theatre for the show "Carousel". I'm super excited to watch her do her thing and will obviously be the loudest person cheering!!

OK guys, have a fab bank holiday weekend!
Catch up soon!

On Trend Quick & Easy Hairstyle | ReeTheBeautyBee

Hello everybody!

I hope you are having a fabulous weekend!
I've just been doing the good old house chores and preparing a chicken roast dinner! Yum!
I've also been out walking my pug George, getting muddy and running around like a looney!

Usually I don't follow many TV shows, but I'm loving Britain's Got Talent this year! It's amazing to see such talent performing, I cry at almost every act whether it be tears of laughter or emotion.

So, anyway! On today's blog I thought I'd share my go to hairstyle for during the day- it's perfect for work, school, the gym or whatever you're up to during the day. This hairstyle can also be used in the evening for a glam up-do look, it's incredibly versatile and easy to achieve.

What you will need...

  1. Bobby pins
  2. Clear elastic hair bands or hair colour matching hair bands
  3. Hair brush or comb
Begin by brushing out your hair completely eradicating any knots you may have.
Split your hair to as near as a centre parting as you can.
Separate your hair into two parts either side of the parting.
Begin french plaiting one side of your hair and then do the same on the other side and secure each plait with your hair bands.
Now all you need to do is bring the end of once of the plaits across to the other side and pin it with your bobby pin.
Do the same with the other plait and pin it into place.
...And you're done!

What's great about this look is, once you take it out at the end of the day, you are left with beautiful and natural wavy hair.

This is how it should look...

I love this hairstyle! Like I said, it's my go to look and I wear it like this almost every day and what's great to know is that plaits are still in for this season, so you'll be on trend!
You can wear the plaits tight for a more formal look or pull out baby hairs and widen the plaits for a more casual and relaxed look.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend guys!

Amazing Hols & Clothing Haul | ReeTheBeautyBee

Hello everybody!

Wow, it's been a while since my last blog!

I've been away for my best friend's wedding in Paphos, Cyprus and I was a bridesmaid!

The wedding day was amazing, she looked beautiful and watching her walk down the aisle with her dad to Christina Perri's A thousand years made me cry!

The rest of the holiday was fabulous, the staff, the hotel and the food were all amazing!

The weather started at a comfortable 25 degrees Celsius and on the last day (Wednesday April 20th) it was a scorching 33 degrees Celsius!

Now, I never tan on holidays so I got a spray tan done just before at a beauty salon.

The product was called sienna x and it's the best spray tan I've ever had! No one suspected it was a fake tan and it even fades away like a natural tan.

You can swim, sunbathe and roll around with the fake tan on, it won't budge!

You just can't exfoliate or rub dry with the towel or it will come off.
I found not exfoliating difficult to be honest, but it meant my tan lasted.

So, now for the clothes haul!!

I went on a pretty extreme shopping spree just before I went away, some bits are from last year which I will list, but, the majority of these items are all new!

The first outfit I wore...

This khaki green belted shirt dress from Primark teamed with white skinny jeans from select and tan brown wedge sandals from new look create a very chic and almost Boho look.
The shirt dress is very flattering and I feel this whole outfit is a great look for either day time or evening.

The next outfit...
This super cute denim belted dress!
I bought this last year from new look, it's light weight which makes it perfect for holidays and those warmer days.
Team this dress with your favourite sandals or flip flops and your sunglasses and you're ready to hit the beach!

The next outfit....
This fab palm leaf strappy V neck jumpsuit from Topshop!
This is my absolute go to outfit for a sunny day! I literally live in this jumpsuit in the summer.
The V neck makes this jumpsuit so flattering and the elasticated waistline rests on the smallest part of your waist which makes you look tiny! I teamed it with my new look tan brown wedge sandals for a Boho chic vibe.

The next outfit....
I love this outfit! It's so cute!
The hat is from new look- last year's purchase.
The top is from new look, also last year's purchase.
The shorts are from Primark- also purchased last year.
The flip flops are from Primark which I bought recently, just before my holiday.
I felt super summery wearing this outfit, it really showed off my "genuine fake" tan!

The next outfit....
My favourite recent purchase!
This belted black shirt dress is SO versatile! You can layer it with jeans or leggings and a pair of converse for a casual look or wear it as I have in the pic on its own with a pair of heels.
My heels are from Dorothy Perkins from last year.
I love this look, it's classy and comfortable all in one and I had so many compliments from people when I wore it.

So guys, I hope you've all had a great week so far! Get in touch through my twitter and instagram @reethebeautybee
I can't wait to hear from you!

Lots of love

Primark Haul April 2016 | ReeTheBeautyBee

Hi everybody!

I hope you've had a lovely weekend and are enjoying this beautiful sunshine we've had today!

I went on a shopping spree with my friend over the weekend and found lots of lovely bits in Primark.

So, I thought I would share them with you!

The first item I picked up was an oversized belted shirt dress.

I got one in black and another in khaki green.
I thought this would go really nicely with some little ankle boots, maybe a leather jacket or a fedora hat and massive sunglasses!
The next item I spied was this stunning top with elephant detailing! I love elephants so this top is perfect for me and I had to get it!
I've worn this with my A line denim skirt, fedora hat and over the knee boots.

This top also looks great with black ripped jeans and a pair of converse for a more casual look.

I feel this top has so much beautiful detail but it can be so versatile which which I feel can sometimes be hard to find.
And also from Primark but this one was a gift from my truly amazing friend, she knows my obsession for pugs has no limit and she bought me this awesome top!
I've been wearing this top with my skinny jeans and ankle boots, it also looks pretty cool with leggings as it's long enough to cover my butt! It's nice and baggy too which keeps it casual and comfy.
I also picked up these beautiful flip flops, they just look very Ted Baker to me and they are so comfy! Again- very versatile and I chose black as most of my wardrobe seems to be black at the moment so it just makes it easier to choose a colour that I know will be easy to pair with everything.
Hope you're keeping up so far!
I saw this denim A line skirt and I had to have it, A line skirts are so flattering and suit any shape.
They are so versatile and can be teamed with pretty much anything.
I was so happy when I found this, it's probably one of my favourite purchases because I know I'm going to wear it so much.

So guys! That's what I picked up from Primark. They have some amazing stuff in there at the moment- I had to stop myself from buying so much! Get down to your nearest Primark asap!

Have a great week everybody, catch up soon!

Amazing Curls | ReeTheBeautyBee

Hello everybody!

It's been a few days since my last blog, I hope you're having a fab weekend!

I've been out shopping with my friend today and we had a major spree in Primark!

There are some amazing bits in Primark at the moment, so get yourself down there for some great bargains.

I will blog about all of my purchases in the next blog, but for this one I wanted to show you these babies!

They are the babyliss curl secret and they are around £100+ depending on where you get them from.

I've had these curlers for a while now and when I want to curl my hair I always reach for these.

They are amazing!
You can choose from the settings what type of curl you want from 6 second hold to 8 or 12, 12 being the tightest curl.
They suck your hair in and spit out beautiful curls! It's so easy to do and works really quickly.

I have been blessed with incredibly thick hair, which is a pain in the backside most of the time. The thought of curling my hair used to be a chore, but with these it takes me no time at all to achieve beautiful curls.

Here is my hair after curling...

I absolutely love curly hair! I'm so happy that I've got these curlers to have this pretty look.

The curls stay in my hair all day, and even keep in place when I wake up the next day.

They are pricey but I truly believe they are worth every penny.

Hope you enjoyed this blog and have a great weekend!

Love Ree
