Valentines, Monthly Faves, Diets & Some Friendly Advice | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Hello everyone!

I hope you have had a fabulous February so far, and if you celebrated Valentine's day...then I hope you had a lovely day/evening with your Valentine!
My husband got me the cutest card and wrote the most beautiful words inside, which of course made me cry! He also got me a dozen gorgeous red roses which make my lounge smell amazing.
I made some scrumptious (if I do say so myself!) red velvet cupcakes and cooked a (romantic) chicken stir fry.
Lately I have noticed that certain foods really make me feel bloated and uncomfortable, and so I have made the decision to cut out gluten from some of my daily diet.
I have swapped my breakfast from cereal to gluten free porridge with honey and banana. I no longer eat regular bread, instead I have been having gluten free "Genius" bread and also I have swapped regular pasta for gluten free pasta.
I can honestly say that I have immediately noticed that I don't feel bloated or sluggish after eating these foods and feel much more comfortable.

As I haven't done a blog for quite some time, I thought I would chuck in a mini "faves" too, so here we go!
I am obsessed with "Mom" jeans! They are so versatile, comfy and fashionable right now. I saw a photo online of a girl wearing a pair of Topshop "Mom" jeans at almost £30. So I did a bit of shopping around and found an identical pair from Primark for half the price at £13! I love a good bargain so I snapped them up quickly.
I'm mostly wearing my "Mom" jeans with an oversized T-shirt tucked in, a cardigan and then my converse. I have seen these jeans being paired with ankle boots and bodies which also looks awesome. It just goes to show how versatile the jeans are and that there are so many different ways and styles to pull them off.

The jeans are a great fit and in my opinion I think they are rather flattering too! I absolutely love my "Mom" jeans and I'm so happy that I've finally got my own pair ready for the Spring/Summer.

Another thing I have found to love lately has been the Revlon ColorStay foundation. I'm super pale so I got the shade "Ivory" thinking it would be a great match. No. It's ridiculously pale, even paler than my own skin colour, which to those who know me- is impossible. I would recommend that you get the next shade darker. It's such a shame because the foundation is really good, it lasts all day with no separating or wearing off and is perfect for when I've run out and am saving for a new Estee Lauder Double Wear!
My other obsession, as you can probably tell from the state of the product! Is the Rimmel Stay Matte translucent powder. Oh my goodness, this powder is fantastic! I use this powder on my T-zone area, where I tend to get a little oily through the day, I don't reapply and my make up stays in tact all day! I can't recommend this powder enough to you. It's very inexpensive, great value for money and it comes in different shades if you did want a pop of colour, but for me- I just need it to keep my sweaty face matte! LOL! (Joking...)
Rimmel eye liner in dark brown! I have been loving using brown eyeliner instead of black. It's so much softer and makes your eyes pop just as much as black, if not better as it looks more natural. Sometimes I feel like black eyeliner can actually make your eyes look smaller if you use too much. I only use the brown eyeliner along my bottom lash line and it makes them stand out so much. This product is again very inexpensive and you can find it in most drug stores.
My mum actually got me into this next product, its "Norwegian Formula Deep Moisture oil-in-lotion" I used this lotion when I was staying with my mum for the weekend a few weeks ago and I instantly noticed a massive difference in the condition of my skin. As soon as I got home I went to my local drug store and bought my own bottle. It is quite pricey for the amount you get, I think this one was £5 from Boots and it was the smallest bottle. I do believe it is worth the money though as if you use it you will notice a massive improvement in your skin. It sinks in quickly, has a lovely smell and makes your skin feel silky soft and smooth.
My other favourite product recently has been the Lash Sensation mascara which was average price for mascara which you can find in most drug stores. I actually hated this mascara when I first got it, I couldn't get on with the plastic applicator as I usually use a brush and I thought it made my lashes look really clumpy and like spider's legs. However! I persevered and now I love it! I have begun to enjoy using this mascara, it makes my lashes look super long and it does not budge all day. I have no drop down and it doesn't rub off on my brow bone like some other mascaras can do (annoyingly).

Another thing I wanted to talk about was being positive! Most people who know me know I always try to be a positive person and I'm an optimist, I like to try and see the good in everything and everyone. I genuinely feel that if you don't think something is right or you don't feel happy then change it, this is your life and you are the one who is in control. Change your job, go travelling, make new friends! Sometimes, you might not want to be positive, and that's OK! It's ok to feel sad, depressed, angry and down because these are feelings that we all experience because, guess what? We're all human! Life is a rollercoaster guys, there's going to be bumps, highs and lows along the way. The storm will always pass and you'll always come out the other end. I hope this makes sense!

So, now I feel like I've waffled on for ages....
Have an amazing week guys! I'd love to hear what you think and what your plans are! Find me on Twitter @ReeTheBeautyBee
