NYE PARTY MAKEUP | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Hello!

It's party time! Who's been running to the shops to get those last minute bits for NYE or searching online for the perfect dress and praying it's going to make it in time!? Yeah... me too!

This year I'm super excited to be celebrating the New Year with my best friends, we're getting our glad rags on and hitting the town! I've found my outfit, a cute silver dress from New Look which my lovely mum got me for Christmas.

The Dress
The dress is a beautiful silver/grey with incredibly soft material. It's a wrap dress so it's amazingly flattering on all body shapes. This dress is actually on sale right now for only £10!

I'm going to dress it up with silver accessories and jewellery, I'll post more photos when I've worn it on NYE! I'm 100% satisfied with my choice of outfit, it's such a cute dress with the frills and the deep V plunge makes it super sexy, yet it's not too short on the leg- It's a winner!

The Makeup
I've decided that I'll be doing a smoked grey/charcoal eye with plenty of black eye liner and big lashes. I think I'll be going all out with the red lips as well, as I've previously posted about my holy grail Estee Lauder lipsticks which I've been wearing every day!
My grey/charcoal smokey eye is super easy to achieve, using only three shadows in total with the W7  "In The Buff" palette from Next.
I used the shade "Silk" all over my lid and then used the darker shade "Storm" for my crease.

Remember my fellow hudded eyed friends- always apply the shade for your crease slightly above your natural crease. This will give your eyes a non-surgical lift, I've posted about hooded eyes and makeup tips for them previously- be sure to check it out.

Finally apply the highlighter in the inner corners of the eyes and just below the eyebrows too.
Add your favourite lipstick and you're ready to go! This one is my trusty Estee Lauder in "Envious".
Have an amazing NYE everyone, wishing you a happy and healthy 2017!

CLOUD 9 THE WIDE IRON REVIEW | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Happy Boxing Day!

I hope you're doing well and had a lovely Christmas day yesterday and enjoying your Boxing Day.
I have eaten so much already and there's still so much to get through! I'll definitely be starting a diet in January!

I truly hope that you got everything you wished for for Christmas and have eaten as much food as me!

I am very lucky to say that I received the Cloud Nine "Wide Iron" for Christmas and I have already become obsessed with these straighteners.
These straighteners are the best straighteners I've ever had- hands down. If you are in the market for a new pair of straighteners then I cannot recommend these ones enough!

You can control the temperature from low heat to high heat, they take seconds to heat up and glide effortlessly through your hair.

My hair is very thick and I used to struggle to straighten my hair but now it's so much easier with the wider iron, it only takes a few minutes to do.

You can purchase these straighteners online from only £119 from various websites.
As you can see, my hair is super thick and in-between straight and wavy naturally, after being blow dried. I would usually skip straightening my hair at this point as I can't be bothered to straighten it because it takes ages.
Now I know I can straighten my hair in a matter of minutes with the Cloud Nine Wide Iron I don't think I'll be skipping it again- no excuses!
Here is my hair after using the Cloud Nine Wide Iron straighteners, no products used so you can see how much straighter and smoother it looks.
I'm so happy with my straighteners, you need these in your life- they are truly amazing!

Thank you for reading!

CHRISTMAS HAIR & MAKE-UP | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas Eve! I have been loving all of the festive make-up looks floating around the internet, one look that has got to be my most favourite of all is the red lip!

I have recently been given the Estee Lauder lipstick gift set which contains some beautiful red shades which I've been wearing pretty much every day.

The Estee Lauder lipstick "Envious" is currently £24.00 in Boots.
I have previously posted about these lipsticks in another blog, be sure to check that out to read my first impressions and review about them.
When I'm wearing such a statement lipstick I find that I don't really need to do too much with eye makeup. In this photo I'm only wearing mascara on my eyes.
On my face I have my trusty EL Double wear which I've also posted about previously.
I'm also wearing my usual Bare Minerals "warmth" for contouring and Sleek "rose gold" blusher and Mac "Nylon" highlighter. All of the above can be found on previous posts, so check them out for more details.

If you're looking for a quick and easy hairstyle that can be worn casually or more formally then I can show you how I've been wearing my hair quite a lot this month.

The above picture is the more casual version, great for work or just usual casual ware.
All you do is part your hair, braid both sides and then pin them at each opposite side, so they cross over at the bottom of your head. Make sure you tuck the ends of the braids in so they don't stick out! Pull out hairs framing your face for a softer look.
There you have a very versatile and easy to do hairstyle, great for parties.

Thank you for reading & Merry Christmas!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Hello!

I hope you're doing well and...HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE EVE!

I'm super excited for Christmas this year...and every year, I love Christmas- the music, the decorations, the food, family, friends and...THE PRESENTS!

Every year we always say "I'm not going mad this year..." and end up with our bank accounts looking very sorry for themselves.
Well, this year has been no different! Although, it is the season of good will and I just love watching people open their gifts and see the look on their faces when they get something they truly love.
So that's how I try to justify my spending!

This year we decided to get a real tree for our lounge. We have a giant 7ft tree up in the loft and it's just so much effort putting the thing up- it has colour co-ordinating arms that go into specific slots and it's just so much effort.

So we chose the most adorable real tree and went crazy with the lights, baubles and tinsel.
I'd forgotten how much I love the smell of a real Christmas tree, it takes me back to when we used to have real trees when I was little. The smell defines Christmas for me and I love our little tree.
I've enjoyed decorating our house with Christmas decorations too, we have fairy lights everywhere and tinsel hanging from picture frames and wrapped around the stairs bannister.
It literally looks like Santa's Grotto here, super cosy!

As well as the lovely, Christmassy smell from our tree, I decided to get a couple of festive candles from our local supermarket.
They were only £4.00 each so I got two!
This first candle in the red glass jar is called "Cheerful Spirits Apple and Cinnamon". It smells like Christmas to me. I have this candle in my lounge next to my King Pug which one of my lovely friends bought for me. (Pug obsessed)
My other choice of candle is this one in an orange glass jar called "Warm Orange". I decided to have this candle in the kitchen and it smells amazing!
I recommend these candles, they're great value for money and very good quality too.

And lastly, a massive Merry Christmas to you! Thank you for your continued support and love, here's to a happy and healthy New Year! Have an amazing time whatever you're doing.

BAKING CHEESE SWIRLS | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Good evening!

I have been loving baking cheese swirls, they are super easy to make and prep time is literally 10 minutes.

Ingredients:

200g self raising flour

50g butter

A pinch of salt

100ml of semi skimmed milk

Grated Cheese of your choice

The method:

You'll have to get a bit messy here, mix the butter and flour together using your fingers. If you use the whisk you will have flour in your face!

Add in the salt followed by the milk- now you can whisk until the dough is formed.

Sprinkle flour onto the surface where you will be rolling out the dough.

Roll the dough flat until you have a good thin (about 1/2cm) base.

Sprinkle grated cheese all over your dough base and roll into a sausage.

Cut into sections and put onto your baking tray.

Bake for 20 minutes (using a fan assisted oven) 200 degrees celsius.

Enjoy!

BIRTHDAY TREATS | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Hello!

I hope you're well and enjoying your weekend! The festive season is here and I'm super excited for Christmas!

I'm loving the festive lights and music everywhere and I've already started to put my home decorations up. I still feel like I need to buy so many presents for friends and family and will probably be running around last minute as usual.

It was my birthday on 29th November and my friends kindly bought me some vouchers for Topshop and River Island. So I thought I would share with you what I purchased with them today!

My husband was super sweet and bought me some Estee Lauder lipsticks and some adorable diamond earrings from Ernest Jones.

The lipsticks...

The colours from top to bottom:
Envious
Insatiable Ivory
Dominant
Insolent Plum

These colours are highly pigmented and well hydrating. They are the perfect size to pop into your handbag to keep topped up after eating or drinking as they do transfer quite easily. My advice would be to blot with some tissue after applying, this tends to keep the lipstick in tact for longer.

My favourite lipstick from the set is Insolent Plum, a beautiful rich plum colour which is actually very generic and versatile.

This jumper is from Topshop and is currently £42, although I was able to buy it with my voucher from my lovely friend.
This jumper is the comfiest jumper I've ever worn, it's big and chunky and everything a girl needs from a decent knitted jumper.
The detail of the knitted pattern is such good quality and I highly recommend this jumper if you're looking for one.

My lovely mum also bought me the coat which I blogged about in my previous post, also from Topshop.

I had an amazing birthday and was spoiled by my hubby, friends and family and I'm very lucky to have such wonderful people in my life.

Have a lovely week and enjoy the rest of your evening guys.

OCTOBER FAVOURITES | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Hello everybody :)

I hope you're doing well and enjoying your weekend.

We've been enjoying going for long walks with George and he's been loving walking on the crunchy Autumn leaves.

When Autumn/Winter arrives, I become obsessed with dark makeup, particularly lipsticks.
One lipstick I've been wearing a lot recently is "Charlotte" by NARS.

This lipstick is available in 30 different shades. You can purchase this lipstick for £24.00 from NARS official website.

I love wearing this lipstick with a golden smokey eye, it's a very sexy shade and perfect for this time of year.

Here's a quick selfie of me wearing this lipstick with my gold smoked eye makeup.
This photo was taken after a whole day of wearing this lipstick without any touch ups. It does transfer and can be a little messy in my opinion so make sure you take it with you to reapply when needed.

The finish is very matte and can be a little drying on the lips, I like to use a balm or lipgloss over the top if I want a more hydrating or glossy finish.

Moving onto my next favourite item for this month is my new coat!
When I saw this shearling coat on the Topshop website it was love at first site and I knew I had to have it in my life.
Then, my lovely mum asked me what I wanted for my birthday...
This coat is available on the official Topshop website for £79.00. It's my favourite coat, super fashionable and cosy.
My hat is also from Topshop, bought last year for £14.00
This is a very versatile coat, you can wear it with lots of different styles and still look awesome!

I decided to try out a different perfume for Autumn/Winter, I went to my local Fragrance Shop and sampled lots of different perfumes and decided to get Alien by Thierry Muglar.

Since I've started wearing this perfume I've had so many compliments and people asking what it is.

You can purchase this perfume for as little as £20.00 for a 15ml refillable bottle that you can easily pop in your handbag and get it refilled when you're getting low.

Now that the temperature has dropped and the central heating is on, my skin has become like a dessert.
It's so dry and flaky in places and I've been struggling to find a product suitable to treat it.
Then I started using this...
This is Guinot and it has saved my skin! I highly recommend this product, it removes makeup effortlessly and cleanses the pours deeply.
Just plop a dollop onto a cotton pad and work in circular motions all over your face for a fresh, clean and hydrated skin.

This product is currently on offer for just £12.75 RRP £18.25.

Thank you for reading today's blog and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a fab week!

CLOTHING, HAIR & MAKEUP HAUL | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Hi everybody!

I hope you are doing well and have had a fab weekend!

I've recently been shopping and am really pleased with these purchases so much that I'm super excited to share them with you.

So here goes!

1. Dorothy Perkins "Frankie" jeans.
These jeans are super soft and so comfortable. They are quite stretchy too and a good size in length. I've always found DP jeans to be true to size, unlike some shops where you have to get the next size up or a smaller size to fit you properly!
I love the colour of these jeans, they're super versatile and I've already been wearing mine with ankle boots and an oversized jumper.
These jeans are currently on sale for just £16.50 RRP £22.00

2. GOSH X-CEPTIONAL WEAR FOUNDATION
I've been pleasantly surprised by this foundation. It matches my skin perfectly and it's so satisfying when applying. You get a medium coverage with this foundation, you can build up to full coverage. This foundation does not go cakey and it will stay in place if you set it with a powder.
The colour is very true to my skin tone, which apparently is "12 natural" and it's a decent size container. I highly recommend this foundation if you are in the market for a new one.
This foundation was a complete bargain at only £7.99 from Superdrug.

3. LACE BRAS
I have been loving lace bras (no underwire) at the moment. They are super sexy, comfortable and flattering. The detail in the lace of these bras is gorgeous and they just add style to your usual lingerie.
No wires digging in, no overspill or tight straps- just comfort.
This lace bra was from Topshop and was only £16...I think I'll be getting more!

4. LONG HAIR!
It's my third week of having hair extensions and I've been loving them! I like curling my hair the most and I've had so many compliments since having them done.
If you're thinking about getting hair extensions, talk to your hair dresser. These ones are the micro ring 20 inch hair extensions and prices vary from salon to salon.

Have a fab evening guys!

SEPTEMBER FAVOURITES | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Hey guys!

I hope you've had a lovely weekend!
It's been a while since my last blog post, I've been busy spending quality time with my friends and family.

So my favourite season is here- Autumn! I love all things Autumnal as I've previously stated MANY times in my blog posts.

I've got my jumpers, jeans and boots at the ready- there's just something special about Autumn fashion.
I love layering and have a slight addiction to coats, hats and scarves and also the Autumnal colours too.
So grab your cosy blanket and hot choccy while I share my September favourite items with you!

I've really been enjoying Rimmel lipsticks this year, usually I reach for the Kate Moss range but I wanted to venture out towards a different range. Obviously not venturing too far as this lippy is still a Rimmel one.
This Rimmel lipstick range is called "Moisture Renew" and is currently £6.49 at Boots.
The application is smooth and my lips feel moisturised, it leaves a lovely healthy shine and almost a glossy feeling. It also has a pleasant smell and the colours are well pigmented.
I would recommend you to take this lippy with you if you are going out for the day as it does tend to transfer and wipe off quite easily.

Again, not venturing too far from Rimmel I decided to try out this "Scandal eyes" eye liner which is like a felt tip pen.
It took me a little while to get used to the applicator as I'm used to a thin brush rather than this pen like nib.
Although, after a few attempts I actually now prefer using this applicator to the brush and once the eyeliner is on, it does not budge.
Rimmel Scandal Eyes is currently £6.49 in Boots.

Rimmel Stay Matte translucent powder has been my go to setting powder this month. It has not failed me and I use this every single day on top of my concealer or if I use a dewy foundation like the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation, pop a bit of this on your T-Zone and you're good to go.
This powder is currently on offer for £3.99 at Boots.
You can buy this product in many other shades too.

A little selfie of yours truly wearing all of the above products!

I also got micro-ring hair extensions applied this weekend and I freakin' love them! If you're thinking about getting extensions, talk to your hairdresser about the different options they can do.
Mine took around 4 hours to apply, I had them done at a lovely salon in Tunbridge Wells called "Revive" all of the staff there are so lovely. If you're local to that area, go and check them out!

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely week!

My First Lash Lift Experience | ReeTheBeautyBee

Hello everybody!

I hope you've had a productive Monday!

I would like to share my first eyelash lifting experience with you. The results are amazing, my eyes have never looked so awake and pretty! Needless to say, I am super happy with the outcome.

I went to my friend Emily's salon which is situated in Paddock Wood, it's name is "Touch of perfection" and it's a beautiful little salon.

The ladies who work here are always so friendly and lovely.

The lady that did the lash treatment was Lauren.

So here's what Lauren did and in her own words...

"Here is how I did it...

Lash lift is a lash treatment that straightens your natural lashes at the root giving the effects of longer, lifted lashes in 1 hour!

The results are quick and instant and last for 6-8 weeks.

One of the quickest ways to brighten and lift your entire face!

The treatment:
(A patch test is required 24 hours prior to having a lash treatment done)
Cleanse the eye area and lashes
Apply gel pad application to cover lower lashes.

Place the shield along the upper eyelid as close as possible to the lashes.

Bond the lashes to the shield.

Apply lifting lotion
(Purpose of lifting lotion is to break down the links in the hair that determines their shape allowing them to be repositioned)

Then apply fixing lotion
(Purpose of fixing lotion is to repair the disulphide bonds in lashes, fixing them in place)

Then tint the lashes

Once lashes have been tintined apply nourishing lotion
(Purpose of nourishing lotion is to moisturise the lashes and make them easier to remove from the shields)

Then comb lashes through.

Don't wet lashes for 24 hours after lash lifting treatment."

Here is the final result, I couldn't believe how much better my lashes look!

This treatment is 60 minutes long and will cost you £36.00 and will last up to 8 weeks!

I recommend everyone to get this done, your eyes will thank me!
