Makeup Tips For Hooded Eyes | ReeTheBeautyBee

Hey guys!

I hope you're doing well!

So, the best way to know if you have hooded eyes is to check if the crease of your eye slightly folds over your lid.

I have been blessed with hooded eyes and I've learnt a few valuable tips that give the illusion of a wider and more open eye.

Having hooded eyes isn't a bad thing- we are all different which makes us who we are and unique. Life would be pretty boring if we all looked the same.

If you have hooded eyes, even just slightly, then follow these steps to create a great look for you.

Make sure you prime your eyes before applying makeup, this will make for an easier application and longer lasting makeup.

1. Select a neutral colour and apply to the whole lid

2. Add a slightly darker tone to your lower lid and bring it just above your natural crease.

3. Select a darker colour and apply this above the crease of your eye, this will give the illusion of a higher crease and will eliminate your hooded eyes.

4. Blend, blend, blend!

5. Line the upper and lower waterlines of your eyes to define your eyes.

6. Add a highlighter on your brow bone and inner corners of your eyes.

7. Apply your favourite mascara

8. Always apply this method with your eyes open so you can see all of your handy work.

Here are some useful DO NOT tips

1. DO NOT use a glittery or shimmery eyeshadow all over the lid. This will make your eyes appear droopy, smaller and dull.

2. DO NOT apply a dark eye shadow or eyeliner underneath your bottom lashes. This drags the eye down.

3. DO NOT use the dark crease colour below or directly on your natural crease. Once you open your eye you won't be able to see all that handy work you just did. It will all be hiding under the hood.

I hope you find this post helpful, enjoy the weekend have a fab one!
