NYE PARTY MAKEUP | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Hello!

It's party time! Who's been running to the shops to get those last minute bits for NYE or searching online for the perfect dress and praying it's going to make it in time!? Yeah... me too!

This year I'm super excited to be celebrating the New Year with my best friends, we're getting our glad rags on and hitting the town! I've found my outfit, a cute silver dress from New Look which my lovely mum got me for Christmas.

The Dress
The dress is a beautiful silver/grey with incredibly soft material. It's a wrap dress so it's amazingly flattering on all body shapes. This dress is actually on sale right now for only £10!

I'm going to dress it up with silver accessories and jewellery, I'll post more photos when I've worn it on NYE! I'm 100% satisfied with my choice of outfit, it's such a cute dress with the frills and the deep V plunge makes it super sexy, yet it's not too short on the leg- It's a winner!

The Makeup
I've decided that I'll be doing a smoked grey/charcoal eye with plenty of black eye liner and big lashes. I think I'll be going all out with the red lips as well, as I've previously posted about my holy grail Estee Lauder lipsticks which I've been wearing every day!
My grey/charcoal smokey eye is super easy to achieve, using only three shadows in total with the W7  "In The Buff" palette from Next.
I used the shade "Silk" all over my lid and then used the darker shade "Storm" for my crease.

Remember my fellow hudded eyed friends- always apply the shade for your crease slightly above your natural crease. This will give your eyes a non-surgical lift, I've posted about hooded eyes and makeup tips for them previously- be sure to check it out.

Finally apply the highlighter in the inner corners of the eyes and just below the eyebrows too.
Add your favourite lipstick and you're ready to go! This one is my trusty Estee Lauder in "Envious".
Have an amazing NYE everyone, wishing you a happy and healthy 2017!

CLOUD 9 THE WIDE IRON REVIEW | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Happy Boxing Day!

I hope you're doing well and had a lovely Christmas day yesterday and enjoying your Boxing Day.
I have eaten so much already and there's still so much to get through! I'll definitely be starting a diet in January!

I truly hope that you got everything you wished for for Christmas and have eaten as much food as me!

I am very lucky to say that I received the Cloud Nine "Wide Iron" for Christmas and I have already become obsessed with these straighteners.
These straighteners are the best straighteners I've ever had- hands down. If you are in the market for a new pair of straighteners then I cannot recommend these ones enough!

You can control the temperature from low heat to high heat, they take seconds to heat up and glide effortlessly through your hair.

My hair is very thick and I used to struggle to straighten my hair but now it's so much easier with the wider iron, it only takes a few minutes to do.

You can purchase these straighteners online from only £119 from various websites.
As you can see, my hair is super thick and in-between straight and wavy naturally, after being blow dried. I would usually skip straightening my hair at this point as I can't be bothered to straighten it because it takes ages.
Now I know I can straighten my hair in a matter of minutes with the Cloud Nine Wide Iron I don't think I'll be skipping it again- no excuses!
Here is my hair after using the Cloud Nine Wide Iron straighteners, no products used so you can see how much straighter and smoother it looks.
I'm so happy with my straighteners, you need these in your life- they are truly amazing!

Thank you for reading!

CHRISTMAS HAIR & MAKE-UP | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas Eve! I have been loving all of the festive make-up looks floating around the internet, one look that has got to be my most favourite of all is the red lip!

I have recently been given the Estee Lauder lipstick gift set which contains some beautiful red shades which I've been wearing pretty much every day.

The Estee Lauder lipstick "Envious" is currently £24.00 in Boots.
I have previously posted about these lipsticks in another blog, be sure to check that out to read my first impressions and review about them.
When I'm wearing such a statement lipstick I find that I don't really need to do too much with eye makeup. In this photo I'm only wearing mascara on my eyes.
On my face I have my trusty EL Double wear which I've also posted about previously.
I'm also wearing my usual Bare Minerals "warmth" for contouring and Sleek "rose gold" blusher and Mac "Nylon" highlighter. All of the above can be found on previous posts, so check them out for more details.

If you're looking for a quick and easy hairstyle that can be worn casually or more formally then I can show you how I've been wearing my hair quite a lot this month.

The above picture is the more casual version, great for work or just usual casual ware.
All you do is part your hair, braid both sides and then pin them at each opposite side, so they cross over at the bottom of your head. Make sure you tuck the ends of the braids in so they don't stick out! Pull out hairs framing your face for a softer look.
There you have a very versatile and easy to do hairstyle, great for parties.

Thank you for reading & Merry Christmas!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Hello!

I hope you're doing well and...HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE EVE!

I'm super excited for Christmas this year...and every year, I love Christmas- the music, the decorations, the food, family, friends and...THE PRESENTS!

Every year we always say "I'm not going mad this year..." and end up with our bank accounts looking very sorry for themselves.
Well, this year has been no different! Although, it is the season of good will and I just love watching people open their gifts and see the look on their faces when they get something they truly love.
So that's how I try to justify my spending!

This year we decided to get a real tree for our lounge. We have a giant 7ft tree up in the loft and it's just so much effort putting the thing up- it has colour co-ordinating arms that go into specific slots and it's just so much effort.

So we chose the most adorable real tree and went crazy with the lights, baubles and tinsel.
I'd forgotten how much I love the smell of a real Christmas tree, it takes me back to when we used to have real trees when I was little. The smell defines Christmas for me and I love our little tree.
I've enjoyed decorating our house with Christmas decorations too, we have fairy lights everywhere and tinsel hanging from picture frames and wrapped around the stairs bannister.
It literally looks like Santa's Grotto here, super cosy!

As well as the lovely, Christmassy smell from our tree, I decided to get a couple of festive candles from our local supermarket.
They were only £4.00 each so I got two!
This first candle in the red glass jar is called "Cheerful Spirits Apple and Cinnamon". It smells like Christmas to me. I have this candle in my lounge next to my King Pug which one of my lovely friends bought for me. (Pug obsessed)
My other choice of candle is this one in an orange glass jar called "Warm Orange". I decided to have this candle in the kitchen and it smells amazing!
I recommend these candles, they're great value for money and very good quality too.

And lastly, a massive Merry Christmas to you! Thank you for your continued support and love, here's to a happy and healthy New Year! Have an amazing time whatever you're doing.

BAKING CHEESE SWIRLS | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Good evening!

I have been loving baking cheese swirls, they are super easy to make and prep time is literally 10 minutes.

Ingredients:

200g self raising flour

50g butter

A pinch of salt

100ml of semi skimmed milk

Grated Cheese of your choice

The method:

You'll have to get a bit messy here, mix the butter and flour together using your fingers. If you use the whisk you will have flour in your face!

Add in the salt followed by the milk- now you can whisk until the dough is formed.

Sprinkle flour onto the surface where you will be rolling out the dough.

Roll the dough flat until you have a good thin (about 1/2cm) base.

Sprinkle grated cheese all over your dough base and roll into a sausage.

Cut into sections and put onto your baking tray.

Bake for 20 minutes (using a fan assisted oven) 200 degrees celsius.

Enjoy!

BIRTHDAY TREATS | REETHEBEAUTYBEE

Hello!

I hope you're well and enjoying your weekend! The festive season is here and I'm super excited for Christmas!

I'm loving the festive lights and music everywhere and I've already started to put my home decorations up. I still feel like I need to buy so many presents for friends and family and will probably be running around last minute as usual.

It was my birthday on 29th November and my friends kindly bought me some vouchers for Topshop and River Island. So I thought I would share with you what I purchased with them today!

My husband was super sweet and bought me some Estee Lauder lipsticks and some adorable diamond earrings from Ernest Jones.

The lipsticks...

The colours from top to bottom:
Envious
Insatiable Ivory
Dominant
Insolent Plum

These colours are highly pigmented and well hydrating. They are the perfect size to pop into your handbag to keep topped up after eating or drinking as they do transfer quite easily. My advice would be to blot with some tissue after applying, this tends to keep the lipstick in tact for longer.

My favourite lipstick from the set is Insolent Plum, a beautiful rich plum colour which is actually very generic and versatile.

This jumper is from Topshop and is currently £42, although I was able to buy it with my voucher from my lovely friend.
This jumper is the comfiest jumper I've ever worn, it's big and chunky and everything a girl needs from a decent knitted jumper.
The detail of the knitted pattern is such good quality and I highly recommend this jumper if you're looking for one.

My lovely mum also bought me the coat which I blogged about in my previous post, also from Topshop.

I had an amazing birthday and was spoiled by my hubby, friends and family and I'm very lucky to have such wonderful people in my life.

Have a lovely week and enjoy the rest of your evening guys.
