I hope you've all had a fabulous Tuesday!
In today's blog I'm showing you my smokey eye look and how to achieve it.
This look is the classic smokey eye and it's really easy to achieve.
Step one!
Apply your eye primer and allow it to sink in- my recommendation is the +Urban Decay Cosmetics Urban Decay eye shadow primer potion.
Step two!
Apply your base colour!
My base colour in this particular look is +Urban Decay Cosmetics Urban Decay "Foxy".
You need to put the base colour all over your lid.
Step three!
Add your crease colour!
This colour needs to be darker than your base colour, almost like a shadow colour to start creating a smokey effect.
I used +Urban Decay Cosmetics Urban Decay "creep"
So, put this colour in your crease, swooping outwards creating a sideways "V shape" pointing away from your eyes.
Keep it drastic and dark- it will look super messy at this point but we will be blending it out soon!
Step four!
Add your eye liner!
I would recommend using a gel eyeliner or a liquid eye liner to begin with, I find they are just longer lasting than pencil liners alone.
So follow your upper lash line along your eyelid with the eye liner and try to follow your "V shape" that you created earlier with the eye shadow.
Once the liquid or gel eyeliner has set, I followed that same liner with my pencil eyeliner and then smudged it outwards, away from my eyes to really exaggerate the smoked eyes effect.
You can then add the eyeliner to your waterline and beneath your bottom lashes, don't forget to smudge for a smokey look.
Step five!
Time to blend!
Using a clean makeup brush, sweep side to side like a car window wiper to blend out that eye shadow, keep going until you have achieved your desired smokey look.
Step six!
Now add your favourite mascara and you should have something like this....
